With The Support Of The Ministry Of Industry And Trade Of Russia Launched The Campaign "Days Of Russian Wines"

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia together with the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and domestic trade will hold the Д Days of Russian wines ’campaign twice a year: in spring (from April 25 to June 6) and in autumn (from October 10 to November 21).

Last year, the first pilot action took place, during which trade introduced consumers to high-quality Russian wine. In total, the original event was supported by 9 large trading companies (Crossroads, Carousel, Pyaterochka, AUCHAN, Lenta, Dixie, Magnit, Zelgros, New Russian Wine, Imperial Duty Free). Trading networks in the pilot "Days of Russian wines" noted that during the promotion, sales of Russian wines increased by 20-25%.

This is an outdated stereotype - supposedly Russian wine is worse than European wines. In fact, high-quality domestic products in no way inferior to their Western counterparts. And it needs to sell more in retail chains. The task of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, including using the Days of Russian wines, is to increase awareness and sales of domestic wines, acquaint the buyer with the Russian product and change the culture of wine consumption, draw attention to wines fully produced from Russian grapes. This is important both for buyers and for winemakers who constantly improve their production, invest in the development of their own vineyards and produce a quality product.

According to the deputy minister, if you don’t tell about the high-quality domestic product, don’t show it, don’t promote it, it’s lost on the shelves next to low-quality products made from imported wine materials, and it will be difficult for the buyer to find, distinguish and choose.  
During the development of the “Days of Russian wines” campaign, the experts selected about a thousand items of products, which are guaranteed to be made from grapes grown in the terroirs of domestic wine-making regions.

It is important to note the active connection to the event in 2019 of regional retail chains and specialized stores of alcoholic beverages. As of today, 66 companies are already participating in the promotion. Among them: Crossroads, Carousel, Pyaterochka, Auchan, Lenta, Dixie, Magnit, Alphabet of Taste, Metro, New Russian Wine, Imperial Duty Free, Alcohol Markets “Maestro Vin” (Sverdlovsk Region), “Kuban Wines” (Krasnodar Region), Dair (Astrakhan Region), Dionis (Tula Region), Vinograd (Irkutsk Region), and over 50 regional retail chains. 
The organizers of the event have confidence that the public catering will join in the fall. Already, the network of cafes Pies, Wine and Goose, Charlie, Restaurants Kind Food, Snack Bars in the Vladimir region is participating in Days of Russian Wines.

Events will be held in all federal districts where participants are represented. These are more than 60 regions of Russia. Compared with the pilot action, the territory of the “Days of Russian wines” has significantly expanded - representatives of the Far East joined. Some of the Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Primorye and Amur Oblast stores will take part in the Days of Russian Wines.

Buyers are waiting for the presentation of Russian-made wines, discounts, tastings, contests, gifts for purchases. Each network will decide how to attract customers.
