Denis Manturov Took Part In The Meeting Of Vladimir Putin With Representatives Of The French Business Community

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin met in the Ekaterininsky Hall of the Kremlin with top managers of major French companies. The issues of improving the investment attractiveness of the Russian market were discussed. The event was attended by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation .

Speaking about bilateral relations between Russia and France, Vladimir Putin noted that by the end of 2018, mutual trade turnover increased by 11%, reaching 17 billion dollars. The volume of French investments in the Russian economy is more than $ 18 billion. More than 600 companies with French capital operate in the Russian market.

The President stressed that Russia's policy is aimed at creating a comfortable business environment for foreign investors. Active efforts are being made to improve macroeconomic stability. At the end of last year, Russia's GDP added 2.3%. The growth of industrial production amounted to almost 3%. Also attention is paid to the removal of administrative barriers, ensuring the optimal tax burden.

Foreign entrepreneurs are offered special investment contracts to ensure that tax and administrative conditions of work will not change for the worse. At the same time, for companies that supply products manufactured in Russia to third countries, benefits are available under the state program for the development of international cooperation and export.

 - Vladimir Putin said, adding that foreign firms that chose to localize production in Russia can now take part in public procurement contests on equal terms with Russian ones.

The head of state noted the work of the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of which the international competition Trianon Startup was held in Paris, where almost 30 Russian high-tech companies presented their innovative developments.

The co-chairman of the Economic Council of the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce on the French side, the general director of the French oil and gas corporation Total, Patrick Puianne, in turn, thanked the President for the meeting and stressed that France is the second investor in foreign direct investment in Russia and is interested in maximum localization productions.

We are building a project in Yamal, we will produce liquefied natural gas completely localized, that is, with the help of Russian technologies. In the Murmansk terminal, there will be a terminal in Kamchatka, so we will invest in Murmansk and in Kamchatka. I also confirm that the shipyard “Star” in the Far East will be engaged in tankers. And I know that it was your desire, and as the president of "Total" I confirm that this order was transferred to the "Star "

- Patrick Puianne said.

In addition, during the visit of the French delegation, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov held talks with the Director General of Renault Thierry Bollore. The parties discussed the implementation of the SPIC, signed at the end of 2018, as well as export support measures.
