Alexander Kozlov took part in the festivities dedicated to the Day of the border guard

In Vladivostok, the Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East, Alexander Kozlov, and the Governor of Primorsky Krai, Oleg Kozhemyako, laid flowers at the memorial to the border guards who died defending the borders of the Motherland. Veterans of the frontier troops and students of the patriotic club "Young Patriot of the Motherland" also took part in the ceremony.

After laying garlands and flowers, the memory of the fallen border guards was honored with a minute of silence and gun salute.

“Days, months and years pass, but the memory of those who protected the Pacific borders remains unchanged; who defended the country in wars and military conflicts. Remember. And we honor those who are currently serving to protect the state border of our country, ”said Alexander Kozlov.

By the way, this year's date May 28, 2019 was the anniversary for maritime border guards. Since the founding of the district 80 years old. In 1939, by order of the people's commissariat of internal affairs, a seaside border district was created with the headquarters in Vladivostok. Then the district took over the protection of the state border from Hassan to Chukotka.
